Reading Plans

Bible Reading Plans come in various shapes and sizes. From going through the Book of John to focusing on the New Testament or reading through the whole Bible, Reading Plans allow you to track your progress and the other members of your discipleship group.

Custom Journals

Journals are simple ways to reflect, share thoughts and study the Bible. Most discipleship groups use the HEAR Journal. The acronym H.E.A.R. stands for Highlight, Explain, Apply, and Respond. Each of these four steps contributes to creating an atmosphere to hear God speak. After settling on a reading plan and establishing a time for studying God’s Word, you will be ready to H.E.A.R. from God.

Book Assignments

Many Discipleship or Small Groups utilize Chapter Books by various authors to compliment Bible Reading to focus on specific areas of ministry, spiritual life, or biblical insights. Your Community Leader will work with DiscipleLink administrators to add these Book Assignments into DiscipleLink and generally provide Questions for the group.

Viewing Group or My Activity

After using the Reading Plan to confirm your Bible reading, Journals to share your thoughts, and Book Assignments to grow, you will need to read and comment on your fellow member’s activities. Using the “Activities” section, you will find it easy to review fellow Group member content or review your own content.

Each activity will have title in larger red type. In addition, each activity will list the date, group, plan, and group member. Just click on the title to open that activity and review. If you like, you can “mark as read”, like, or comment on the activity. In addition, your other group members comments will be listed.
